Despite these alarming signs, Sebastian's reports fell on deaf ears, and no further action was taken. It was only after the tragic events of June 13, 2023, that the connection between Calocane and Sebastian's reports became apparent.
During the stabbing spree, Calocane fatally stabbed Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Barnaby Webber, both 19, and Ian Coates, 65. He later admitted to manslaughter on the basis of diminished responsibility and was sentenced to indefinite detention at a high-security hospital.
