In a move that has left many watch enthusiasts intrigued, Patek Philippe has slashed prices in the USA by a significant 8.6%. But here's where it gets controversial: while prices drop in America, they've simultaneously hiked in the UK by 4%.
This rollercoaster of price adjustments is a direct response to the complex web of international trade policies and economic factors. The USA's recent tariff policies, including a 39% increase on Swiss watches, have significantly impacted Patek Philippe's pricing strategy.

And this is the part most people miss: Patek Philippe's decision to impose the same percentage increase on both steel and gold watches. A 40mm Cubitus in gold, for instance, has seen its price drop from $92,469 to $84,522 in the USA, while in the UK, the same watch has increased in price by 4%.
The impact of these adjustments is felt across the Atlantic. Before the changes, there was a notable price gap between the USA and the UK, with the Cubitus costing around $10,000 less in the USA. Now, with the new prices, the gap has narrowed significantly.
